Itch to Stitch Antrim dress and a pink knit coat from Minerva fabrics

I’m excited to show you an outfit that has a bit of vintage feel to it. Mostly due to the colors – old pink, duck egg blue and beige. I got two fabrics from Mi nerva and made a dress and a coat that nicely complement each other and are so comfortable to wear.   Mul on rõõm näidata komplekti, millel on vintage hõngu juures. Põhiliselt tänu värvidele, mis kangastel on kasutatud - vanaroosa, pardimuna sinine ja beež toon lihtsalt annavad teatud tunnetuse kangale. Ma sain need kangad Minervalt ja õmblesin kleidi ja kleidi juurde sobiva mantli. Mõlemad on nii mugavad kanda!    My dress pattern is Itch to Stitch Antrim dress pattern ( here’s my affiliate link ). This viscose jersey had so nice texture and colors to it, I had to make it into this beautiful fit-and-flare dress. Antrim has surplice front bodice, cup sizes, in seam pockets that doesn’t show or gap open and half circle skirt. Antrim dress also has gathered waistband, but for this dress I chose to use the not gathered linin

Itch to Stitch Isidro top

A while ago I had a chance to help my favorite sewing pattern designer and become an admin in Itch to Stitch Facebook group . I love to see all the pretty and comfortable clothes that are made using ITS patterns. I’ve sewn quite many myself and almost every day I find something ITS on myself. The moment I’m writing this blog post, I have on Uvita top and Fortuna joggers. The joggers are made by the pattern in Itch to Stitch book Sew Beautiful. I’ll bl og about it soon!   I found it was appropriate to celebrate the occasion in my new Isidro top ( affiliate link to the pattern ). Isidro was the first pattern I tested for ITS and I had just enough of this fabric to cut out a sleeveless version. The cute floral fabric was a bargain from local fabric sale – I think it cost 1 or 2€.   I topstitched the armbands and I also topstitched the neckline band from gathers to gathers - this way the bands stay in place.   I hope I keep inspiring others with my sewing. Thank you! Mõnda ae

Itch to Stitch Paulina top and Mountain View pull-on jeans

This is long overdue, but I really would like to write about one of my autumn outfits, that I enjoyed making and wore a lot during last autumn and winter. It’s an outfit of black pull-on jeans and a uni que top I sewed using Itch to Stitch patterns. I feel like my bag with a little sparkle (wrote about it in my last post) fits w ell with the rest of my outfit. What else could you want?! See komplekt koosneb mustadest ilma lukuta teksadest (kummivärvliga, lihtsalt ülestõmmatavad) ja ainulaadsest pluusist, mis ma Itch to Stitch lõigete järgi endale õmblesin. Mulle tundub, et ühtlasi sobib see rõivakomplekt ka väga hästi kokku mu sädeleva taskuga kotiga (millest ma eelmises postituses kirjutasin). Mida veel võiks tahta!? I used Itch to Stitch Paulina pattern (my affiliate link to the pattern here) for the top. Paulina top is a knit top with wov en underl

Sparkling sequin jacket and a big bag

What's the most sparkling and shiny thing you have sewn? I definitely made mine when I sewed this sequined lace jacket. And the second one is the bag with the same sequined lace on the outer pocket.   Minerva offered this eye-catching sequined lace and I’m drawn to shiny things. I may not wear these every day, but I sure like to have these in my cupboard. So, I let myself try out sewing this fabric and it wasn’t too vexing! I used Ottobre Design magazine 2/2015 and pattern number 5 for this jacket. I underlined the front and back, I binded all the seams with satin bias binding. You can see more photos and read more about the jacket on my Minerva blog ( here ). Minu nimekirja tipus on kindlasti see litritega pitsist jakk ja kohe teisel kohal asub kott, mille väliskülje taskul kasutasin sama litritega kangast.

Seamwork York top from Minerva fabric

Every once in a while, I find myself sewing for completely wrong season. It’s the same story with this top. A great top, beautiful fabric, well drafted pattern and oh, so cold to take photos! Let me in troduce you Seamwork York top made from John Kaldor Lizzano Cotton Sateen Fabric that I got from Minerva. I can’t wait for the spring and summer to be here so I could wear it w ithout shivering! You can read about this pretty top and see more photos on my Minerva blog again ( link ).

Sewing for the last Christmas - 2020

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be Minerva Ambassador. I had a chance to take my pick on Christmas’ fabrics and I got two. First, I chose this beautiful silver reindeers on white background cotton fabric . I used it to sew a tablecloth for our dinner table. It’s so merry and Christmassy! You can see the whole blog post about it here ( link ).   From the second one I planned to make as many fabric gift bags as possible. I had 2m of it and I sewed it into 9 bags! Good thing about fabric gift bags is that you can use these over and over again. I have some from 2019 and now from the last year and hopefully some of these find their way back to me with different gifts next year 😊 You can read more about gift bags and fabric here (link) .  Ma olen tänulik võimaluse eest Minervaga koostööd teha. Eelmisel sügisel oli mul võimalus valida jõululike kangaste seast midagi ja ma valisin endale õmblemiseks kaks erinevat. Esimene oli imeilus hõbedaste hirvedega (põhjapõtradega?) valgel

2021 first - an Ottobre maxi dress and Itch to Stitch Aveiro bolero

2021 has been here for 2 months and this is the first blog post I'm writing. I've been sewing a lot, but I should manage my time better and make time to show everything in my blog too. I'm active in Instagram ( here! ) and on several Facebook groups ( Estonian sewing grou p and Itch to Stitch Design group mostly) and my Kadristik page on Facebook shows my recent makes too. So, feel free and follow me there.  I've updated appearance a bit and hopefully I'll keep writing posts about my makes to keep it here up to date this year too. It would be so sad to let all this go... 2021 on kestnud juba üle kahe kuu ja see on alles esimene blogipostitus, mida ma siia kirjutan.
